Makes me smile!

I just love this picture. I have to say this boy of mine is quite cute. I am having so much fun raising a baby again, Sampson is just a bundle of joy. I am so grateful for a Father in Heaven that knows just what we need and gives it to us even if we might be a little apprehensive. I am so grateful for my amazing girls, for one terrific husband, for this beautiful place we have to live, for rain, for snow, for family, for friends, for a warm comfortable place to live, for good health, for turkey, and for this time of the year. I am thankful for babies that sleep through the night! I actually slept from 10:30 pm to 6:00 am it was fantastic the best I've had in a very long time.

The dang Leaves

This is our "not so little" boy- Sampson is still growing like a weed. In fact,
I think he must have had or is going to have a growth spurt because all he wants to do is eat.
My family with my mom and dad--grandma and grandpa got me meet Sampson--yeah!

This is pic in Boise after one of Shelby's soccer games. My mom and dad, my two sisters, my brother and our friends the Millers all came to visit us while in boise--it was great to see all of them and let the kids all swim at the motel pool--I am sure the motel really loved it as well.

Here is a picture of the once beautiful leaves.

Wonderful Fall Weather!

OK so our new house has three huge trees in the back yard--that have a ton of leaves. Well when we were in Boise two weekends ago all of these beautiful leaves decided to fall off of the trees (I guess this is what happens in the fall). Well they all fell and then it started to rain so come Saturday we had about 6 inches of wet, soggy leaves covering the backyard. Now I wish I could just make them disappear or something, but I haven't been invited to attend Hogwarts and don't know the disappearing spell. Therefore, I figured we would have to do it the old fashion way and rake the darn buggers up, so very cheerfully I informed the girls that Saturday would be a great fun leaf raking day ( This is supposed to get them excited right?). Well, after about 30minutes of "come on get ready" we were finally outside. Sampson was in the house frying his brain watching a little Finding Nemo. The girls and I worked for over three hours and we didn't even get all of the leaves raked into piles, so guess what we will be doing again this Saturday. I can't wait. My dear manly husband missed out on all of the fun because the big stud was out trying to get meat for his family so we won't starve this winter--What a great guy!! No I am not being Sarcastic!!! OK maybe a Little!

Family! Soccer!

Our soccer season is about over, I am happy in some ways (no more freezing my butt off standing in pouring rain) and sad in others. A couple of weekends ago we went to Sandpoint for soccer games. I couldn't believe our luck both girls were playing in the same town and their games were at different times, so I could watch both of their games. It was a great weekend. It just made me realize how much fun we can have as a family.
So here are my crazy girls on the way to Sandpoint. I am just glad that they entertain them- selves.

Shelby should have been in those old ipod commercials--she plays the part well.

This is Sampson thinking what a crazy family he has been born into.

And finally he decides sleep is better than listening to his loopy sisters. I know he loves them though because they are the ones to get a lot of the smiles.

Hailey has a new fashion statement she has worn this season much to the embarrassment of Shelby. Shelby hates it, thinks it looks stupid.... I think this only makes Hailey enjoy wearing it even more. It has made her an animal on the field--this girl is going to get carded one of these days with her fancy slide tackles. The headband is a nice addition to her new very expensive uniform. Doesn't she look great?

We think Sampson also looks very athletic in it with his bulging biceps!

That is all from our busy home. We have a couple more weeks of soccer, and then we will have all sorts of free time. Oh, wait I forget Basketball--I guess I will have some free time in about 18 years, but wouldn't change it for the world. Kids are the greatest! Even the little one who has decided that 4 am is a great time to be up chatting with his mom.

Frank's broken face

Monday night Frank took a ball to the face during his softball game. He ended up having a concussion and broke the bone in two places. I thought I would include some pics to gross you all out.Now his eye is all purple and pretty if you like purple.

Sampson's Photo Shoot

Here are some photos from a photo shoot Shelby had with Sampson. He was very cooperative and oh so cute!

A day's work

What used to be a days work now seems to take two. I started making jam yesterday and I just finished this morning. With all of the interruptions of feeding, diapering, chaufering, what I thought would be a days work turned into two. I made two batches of raspberry frezzer jam, two batches of huckleberry plum jelly, and one batch of huckleberry plum jam.
I find that a baby has a way of slowing life down. Which isn't always a bad thing. I started back to work on Monday and planned on a 4-5 hour day. With Sampson as my work partner it turned into a 7 1/2 hour day. I found myself getting frustrated, but now I know I just need to slow down, enjoy the day with him in tow, and be grateful that I get to take him with me.

Typing with my left hand

It seems that the only time I have to sit down to the computer is while I am feeding Sampson. So I find myself trying to type with one hand, which usually ends up being my left hand. My left hand is basically handicapped--I am a very left brained person which means my left side of my body is sometimes just along for the ride. I find myself thinking of the saying that mothers need to have ten arms. Boy, wouldn't that be great. I could blog, feed Sampson, fold laundry, and work on dinner all at the same time. But as it is I will feed Sampson and type about three words a minute as I try to get this blogging thing going.
